The final mixes are complete, and after quite a bit of back and forth we managed to generate a master loud and club-friendly enough to make these tunes sound like they're supposed to.

In the end, six songs made the final cut (it's only an EP, after all): Treasure (process mix), In the Same Place (the extra stompy Catalog mix), Velveteen, Night to Day (process mix), Darkness and the Darkness Reprise, and the brothers brothers' Any Other Day ("at least") remix.

How do these combine?  This is the challange.  To see and feel within a song and make it translate into a visual context.  What do you see when you hear music?

Who is Catalyst Echo?

I suppose many people might like to know this. I am an artist, this means I look and see and visualize beyond what others do. They say that talent is the ability to do something easily that others have problems with so I suppose my talent is vision.

The nature of Art is such that it often exists on its own terms. As such, it may or may not always be self-sustaining - at least initially. Resources, both material and energetic can be swiftly depleted in the service of Creation. That being the case, it is of the greatest importance that those who both witness and create Art (that they regard as being worthwhile) are as active as possible in furthering that work. One must contribute what one can to the process if one expects - or hopes - for it to continue into the future...

I have spent many hours (and at least a few cases of cheap beer - what would we do here in Sunset Junction without Big Mac's?) over the last few weeks finishing the first round of preliminary mixes for the process EP. They're getting close to being finished tunes. Now it's time to spend a little time away from them and regain some objectivity.

In May 2007, moodorgan project collaborators were involved in the production of the Juxtaposium event in Hollywood, as promoter/DJ (Crystal), VJ (Peter), and lead dancer (Forest).

In June 2007 at Malediction Society, Forest performed the steampunk ballet piece entitled "Clockwork Doll" with a live mix score by Peter.
