Production
Members of the core team are also often found performing at or participating in the production of various events around LA (often associated with the goth/industrial community) including Bar Sinister, Malediction Society, Juxtaposium, Hex Hollywood.
Technical Direction
DIY means, among other things, wrangling technology as necessary: audio, video, lighting, and computers.
The moodorgan live show involves a four-piece electronic band (with no fewer than three computers on stage), sequencer rig, computer-controlled DMX lighting and effects, video projection, and a live video mix rig with custom software.
VS3 is a custom realtime compositing application developed for live performance video mixes. It is a key component of the live moodorgan rig and has been used for various other VJ and video art purposes.
Shown here is a VS3 rig with dual LCD touchscreen VS3 interface and a Roland V4 for mixing and keying the output video stream.
In a moodorgan show, the VS3 application is typically under a combination of sequencer control, MIDI trigger control (from stage), and manual performance control by the live "VJ".
